Our Services

Overzest Community Services offers quality housing and specialist support for vulnerable adults – people with learning difficulties, physical disabilities, challenging behaviours, mental health problems, and an autism spectrum disorder.

Overzest Community Services is also CQC registered to provide domiciliary/personal care services; we operate a 24-hour supported living accommodation service and provide Independent Domiciliary Care Services for clients who live in their own accommodation.

We are committed to providing local solutions to meet clients’ assessed needs. Each of our supported accommodations incorporates assistive technology to facilitate the specific needs of individual tenants, enabling them to live as independently as possible, featuring high ceilings, heating, wide corridors, and communal areas where residents can interact.

Our Aim

Our aim is to improve and encourage others to make positive changes to their lives. We support them by providing high-quality, person-centred supported services within our supported living accommodation and in our clients’ homes.

SUPPORTED LIVING HOUSING

We presently have 3-bedroom accommodation in our Chingford home and that caters to clients with learning disabilities and complex needs. It is conveniently located in a very quiet and exclusive neighbourhood in Chingford, with easy access to shops, supermarkets, gym, public transport, and access to the A406 motorway.

Overzest Community Services also has a 2-bedroom accommodation in Romford. This accommodation is located in a very quiet street, close to local shops, banks, etc.

BENEFITS OF SUPPORTED LIVING ACCOMMODATION

Supported living is a way of providing our clients with support as they go about their day-to-day life in the community away from regimented lives in institutions.

Overzest Supported Living programs give our clients as much independence as possible. We help and support our clients to gain or rediscover the skills they need in their daily lives, whilst recognising that there are challenges to achieving these skills too.

The location of our Supported Living Units supports our philosophy of working towards a comprehensive community-based service as shops, leisure facilities, libraries, and churches are all extremely close by, hence, promoting social inclusion. Local bus and train services are excellent.

There are colleges close by for clients who wish to continue their education and the possibility of local employment opportunities.

Clients’ residents in Homes will be supported by an experienced staff team providing 24-hour support, helping them to live an active life in the community. There has been great interest in our Supported Living schemes, but this is not surprising given our expertise and professionalism. The lack of specialist home facilities for people with learning disabilities and challenging behaviours, including autism makes our service also to be sought after.

Overzest Supported Living accommodation is an alternative to residential care; it allows for a greater degree of choice, control, and independence. The service provides flexibility; for example, if someone needs their support to be greater at key times and this would be built into the package and reviewed regularly. Support is provided on a shared or individual basis.
